The RC Neighbourhood Watch Zone
(NWZ) aims to cultivate mutual assistance among residents
in the community to help prevent crime and create a
sense of concern among the residents for each other's
home and community.
In Tampines Changkat, all Residents' Committees have
a NWZ. The RCs' NWZs work closely with the police to
prevent crime. The NWZs in Tampines Changkat have also
combined to form a Bicycle Watch Group (BWG).
The BWG was officially launched on 9 March 2003. The
BWG organizes bicycle patrols around the constituency. Residents who are interested in the NWZs
and BWGs can contact their respective RC centres.
