The Civil Defence Executive Committee (CDEC) in Tampines Changkat constituency promotes community awareness of civil defence and helps maintain a competent civil defence capability in the constituency.

The CDEC organises civil defence activities and exercises to educate and prepare residents to cope with emergencies so as to minimise sufferings and loss of lives and properties. It organises Blood Donation Drives within the constituency together with the Singapore Blood Bank. It also helps to provide First Aid Coverage in many Grassroots activities.

The CDEC welcomes residents to join and train to be Civil Defence Volunteers and Civil Defence Volunteer Leaders to assist in Civil Defence in Tampines Changkat Constituency.
